Product Description

In 1817, the future King George IV of England asked Hennessy to supply him with a ‘Very Superior, Old and Pale’ cognac. By the end of the 19th century, VSOP, as it had become known, had firmly established its reputation among the nobility. Hennessy continues to uphold the values of their founder, Richard Hennessy, in their commitment to superior quality. An excellence of craftmanship has been carried through many generations of the Hennessy family. They have worked with the same farmers for many years, demonstrating a belief in retaining tradition which is embodied in every stage of Hennessy VSOP’s creation.

Hennessy VS is a perfect blend of more than 60 different eaux-de-vie

Hennessy VSOP comprises a gradual blend of over 60 eaux-de-vie aged up to 15 years old. Taken from the four leading vineyards in the Cognac region, VSOP is slowly matured in old barrels. Hennessy VSOP Cognac is proof of the expertise of the Hennessy blenders - it has a delicate, smooth flavour with hints of vanilla, cinnamon and French oak.

The delicate, smooth flavours and aromas of VSOP mean that this is an ideal cognac that can be enjoyed straight. Although around the world this cognac is also being increasingly enjoyed as a long or highball mixed drink. Preferred mixers are mineral water, soda, ginger ale, and tonic.
